NAVFAC Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Public Works Department Annapolis recently presented Tuckman-Barbee Construction Company, Inc. a Safety Excellence Award for having ZERO SAFETY MISHAPS in 2007

Prince George's County to renovate Potomac High School
Tuckman-Barbee performing systemic renovation of existing school building and construction of 80,000 SF of new music hall, multipurpose facility and classroom additions.

Anne Arundel County expands Conference and Visitor's Bureau
The Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitor's Bureau is an existing structure built in 1760 with an addition built in 1965 with a total of 4713 square feet. The renovated first floor of the later addition will be used for a modern conference room, bathrooms, office and copy room, the second floor will be used for additional offices and bathrooms. The renovated first floor of the original structure will be used as the visitors center and the second floor used for offices and a small conference room.

National Naval Medical Center upgrades Hematology - Oncology Building 8
Tuckman-Barbee will perform demolition and replacment of ceiling, partitions, doors, other finishes, casework and medical equipment.  The work includes asbestos abatement, modifying existing fire alarm and sprinkler systems, provide new plumbing fixtures and modify supply systems.  The work also includes extensive upgrade and replacement of HVAC and automatic temperature control systems, balancing existing and new air and water systems, demo existing and provide new electric power, lighting and special systems.

Baltimore County Public Schools awards contract for Systemic Renovations
Tuckman-Barbee was awarded a contract to perform systemic renovations at General John Stricker Middle School in Dundalk.  Construction is underway with the installation of temporary classrooms that will provide swing space during the project.  When completed in December 2008, the school will have new finishes, mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems, and meet all ADA requirements.

Tuckman-Barbee to construct gymnasium addition to North County High School
Anne Arundle County Public Schools has contracted Tuckman-Barbee to constuct a new gymnasium.  Tuckman-Barbee will perform site work including new water line, stormwater management and sewer.  Installation of curbs, gutters and sidewalks around new school bus parking area.  Work includes construction of new gymnasium with related office space, gang bathrooms, concession and vending areas.  Also includes new HVAC equipment, athletic equipment, bleachers, related power and distribution and lighting fixtures.

Providence Hospital expands Infusion Center
Tuckman-Barbee will be renovating and expanding existing office space, including demo and relocation of restroom facilites.

Renovations to NNMC Pharmacy
Tuckman-Barbee will renovate the Building 9 Pharmacy to include complete demolition and replacement of occupied space to include ceilings, partitions, doors, VCT, carpeted and sheet vinyl flooring, finishes, medical casework and equipment, plumbing fixtures and HVAC.

Anne Arundel County renovates Van Bokkelen Elementary School
Tuckman-Barbee to perform phased renovation of existing elementary school.  Demolition and replacement of ceilings, partitions, lighting systems and associated mechanical and fire alarm modifications are needed.

Tuckman-Barbee to replace HVAC systems at National Naval Medical Center
The replacement includes replacing air handling units, VAV terminals, ductwork, controls and incidental work in Building 7.
