The first public school in Prince George's County to be certified LEED Gold from the U.S. Green Building Council, Vansville Elementary's building design creates a stimulating and healthy environment to support a more productive teaching and learning experience. The facility utilizes geothermal heating and cooling, waterless urinals, dual-flush toilets, low-flow faucets, an Energy-Star white roof to reduce roof temperatures by fifty percent; all saving the County substantial utility costs.
