The restoration of the Large Tow Tank at the U.S. Naval Academy’s Hydromechanics Laboratory
in Rickover Hall highlights our team’s precision and expertise in highly specialized, research-focused environments.
This critical facility supports naval engineering education and hydrodynamics research by allowing ship models
and marine systems to be tested for resistance, speed, and stability. Our work includes extensive structural and
mechanical repairs, such as restoring the skimmer line, tow tank drain line, mechanical beach components, and
carriage sheaves. Additional improvements include replacing ladders and stairs, upgrading lighting and electrical
panels, repairing concrete and steel structures, and modernizing the control room with a new raised floor, ceiling
grid, and wall finishes. These comprehensive upgrades ensure the towing tank remains a state-of-the-art resource for
both faculty and students advancing naval innovation.
