This project included the restoration repairs and modifications of portions of the Large Tow Tank, located in Rickover Hall at the United States Naval Academy.
Work included: Repair of the broken section of the skimmer line. Cut and cap the small tow tank drain line at the small tow tank. Repair of the structural connections of the mechanical beach. Replacement of one of two ships ladders in the tow tank dry dock and demolishing the other.
Replacement of metal stair to pump room. Relocation of existing lights. Relocation and replacement of electrical panels from pump room. Replacement of carriage sheaves. Maintenance of the mechanical beach sheaves. Removal of bolt heads from the bottom of tow tank. Replacement of tow tank windows. Covering tow tank windows. Stopping ground water infiltration into walkways. Repair of spalling concrete. Repair of steel and concrete in areaway. Replacing raised floor, suspended grid ceiling and wall finishes in the control room.
